Pointed the paving 2” thick slabs around the house some 8/10 years ago and pressure washed the slabs with a paving jet washer att.
This exposed alot of the crumbled/missing pointing. Although some say to use a 5:1 mix, I found this leaves the pointing sandy/crumbles so I use a 3:1 or 4:1.
For pointing would it be to use old cement or use new cement. ?
