They will either be steel straight sides or a corrugated slinky. The junctions may be a long way from the actual outlets.
Expect a few problems with horizontal ductwork, usually in the wrong place for radiators. Every time we've looked at doing it, the grief outweighs the advantages.
I take it you have considered a new HiSpec or Economaire WAU with System ET?
