I have recently had to have the diverter valve changed on the boiler (originally fitted 2007)and then it was found that the pcb was faulty too - apparently a common thing in conjunction with the diverter valve. Now the pressure on the gauge keeps rising to 3.2 bar and so I asked the plumber to check it and he said it was either the ev needed recharging or the diaphragm had gone. No water came out when the valve was checked so we presumed it was in need of recharging. He simply pumped it up to the req pressure. This hasn't solved the prob and after looking at the FAQs on the subject on this forum I followed the instructions on how to drain the system through a drain valve on the rad and then recharge the ev , checking as it states in the instructions. This looked to have worked but again the pressure is rising. Any suggestions - is it the refilling knobs that are not shutting as in other posts on here ?

Not being at your boiler I cannot guess!

The filling valves may be leaking, the plate HE may be leaking.

Close the cold water into your boiler off over night and see what happens then.

But if I were you then I would be calling back the engineer because not only does he seem to have not solved the problem but he may be a nupty who does not know how to repressurise correctly!

Checked out the filler loop flexi hose connections and valves .CW knob has no leaks when turned off but Hw flow end leaks when I take off the flexi hose (leaks from the boiler side). Is this significant or just something else to change at some point? If its not going anywhere as the CW side is secure will it just sit there with water in the hose and not be a prob?
