Hi all

I have moved into a flat with a Vaillant combi boiler but no instructions. Heating works, but we don't get any hot water.

Previous experience tells me this is a pressure problem - a diagnosis confirmed as likely by a call to British Gas.

I can't however, find any kind of valve to increase the pressure. Can someone give me an idea of where it might be / what it might look like? I've found the release valve that lowers pressure.

Thanks in anticipation.

You should be able to download an instruction manual from HERE. If you cannot find your boiler model there, contact Vaillant and they will send you a copy of the manual by post (usually free of charge).

Diagnosis is jibberish! If the heating works then the boiler is happy that there's enough water pressure in it. Also the thing has a gauge on the front so you don't have to guess!!

i took bob to mean that the the boiler isn't firing for dhw and his pressure problem diagnosis to mean dhw flow rate (which probably won't be the problem)
my money's on him having a turbo max/plus and he's got a diverter valve prob.
