I have a large 4 bed hse with 3 Adults & 2 kids.

I have been qouted for the above boilers.
Would the vaillant boiler provide me with enough hot water & pressure for our household, as it would be my perfered choice due to saving space in the kitchen.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

A good start would be to measure how many litres per minute you have from your cold taps.

Are you replacing an existing combi or regular boiler with cylinder?

Andy.

another starter for 10 would be how many bathrooms/ensuites etc. What sanitary ware is fitted..ie bath, shower cubicle.

The 837 will more than likely need the gas pipe uprating. Part of it will usually need to be in 28mm or bigger. Just something to bear in mind.

Andy.

Thankyou for the replies.

I currently have an old ideal mexico boiler with a power pump

I have 1 bath room combined with a shower and an onsuite shower room.

A couple of Silly questions,
What is the best way to measure the litres of water per minute?.

How long do I take this measurement?

Is there a standard measurement that will tell me if the combi will meet my requirements.

If you dont own a weir guage, then the best way is to fill a container that you know the said volume of and time how long it took.Little bit of maths helps.

Other than that a very, very large measuring jug and possably time for 1 min, might give litres per min.
