Hi Guys, Ive used search but no real joy....
We have a 5 year old 831 EcoTEC boiler that has a DHW issue.
on turning on tap boiler fires as should and goes to full burn..... then a few seconds later drops onto limp burn and stays. I found if you part close the direct cold in feed, back to flow approx 8l and turn boiler temp down to 45 degrees it will run, but real temp overshoots up to 70 degrees and cuts flame until drops to 50 degrees then relights hence the hot cold. as soon as you inclease the cold feed flow any more its back to full burn for a few seconds then limp....
Diverter valve is working perfectly
reverse Flushed Heating system and no dirty water or sludge whatsoever.
When flow temp is 65 degrees, return is showing 37 degrees (does return temp only work on heating side?)
Radiators get red hot and no issues with that side, only the water.
Any ideas guys?
