Vaillant ecoTEC pro 824 - Hot Water Problem

Hi,

I have a Vaillant ecoTEC pro 824 combi boiler and it has an issue with the hot water. Central heating appears to be fine.

When I turn on a hot tap, the water does heat up and the display indicates this. It gets up to around 40-45C and then slowly but surely goes down to luke warm and doesn't get any hotter.

Does any one have any ideas how to fix this or should I get an engineer in?

Also, if it requires an engineer to fix it, can you give me some idea as to what may be wrong and how much I might be looking at to get it fixed?
