Hi.

I have a fault with this boiler. No hot water or heating. Error code, (after pressing the appropriate button), is S F6. Unfortunately cannot find the installation manual so cannot find out meaning of code and no joy on net.

When I reset I hear the boiler 'starting' but nothing after that.

When I turn the heating knob up there is no response at all.

When I turn the hot water on the boiler 'starts' but no heat. I notice that the pump does not circulate when I do this.

Gas is OK. All water connections fine. Ditto electrics as far as I ca tell.

I suspect the pump. Am I right in thinking the system won't fire up if the pump is faulty.

Otherwise I can only assume a problem with the ignition.

Thanks for any help.

Mike

Curiously this is now working, though not perfectly. When I turned the system on again this morning it started. However the pressure dropped right down and I had to stop the system to get it up to 1 bar again. Luckily it started again. I ran the heating for 1/2 hour to make sure the water was circulating OK, just in case the pump had previously got stuck on some silt. One thing that is happening is that the hot water doesn't stay constant. The temperature drops dow and then heats up again, sometimes it seems above the temperature I've set as I normally run it 'hand hot' and it seems hotter than that at times. Any ideas anyone?

I think that your boiler gives a status cose e.g. S 12 after you push a button.

However, I also think that is shows a fault code e.g. F12 without you doing anything.

Its better to pressurise to 1.5 Bar.
