Looking for help with a boiler that needs help starting!

8/10 times the boiler kicks in, it locks out with an F28 error. To get it working I can turn on a hot tap and reset the boiler. It usually kicks in straight away and I can turn off the hot tap. The boiler then stays running and heats the rads.

anyone know what could be the problematic component. Already spent £250 on repairs but still no change.

That indicates an ignition problem.

As that involves gas work we cannot advise on an open forum. In any case its not just one component. It needs checking to identify the problem. Its probably just something that needs adjusting.

Call an RGI.
