My 6 y/o Turbomax Plus 837e has worked perfectly until mid Dec.
There is an intermitent leak from the auto airvent just above the pump. Occurred initially 15th Dec and didn't reappear for 2 weeks! When it 'weeps' there's about a cup of water/hour but it only lasts for 1 or 2 or 3 pints. I cannot understand why it comes and goes but it is becoming more frequent i.e. a few days apart now. The boiler seems to be working fine with plenty of HW, the CH is maintained at temp easily & there are no unusual noises.
I do have a very small leak in the system, as I have had to top up the pressure every few days but I'm not hugely bothered for now as we are building an extension soon (baby 2 due June 2010) and the boiler/pipework/system will be getting altered then.
Any ideas on what the problem could be?
PS house built 1860 - old gravity system removed - old CH pipe system was pressure tested & flushed - 16 new rads and combi installed April 2003.[/b]
