Vaillant VRT392f wireless removal

Has anyone replaced there VRT392f wireless thermostat/timer with Hive, how did you disconnect it ? My boiler is the ECOTEC PLUS 831 R1, photo of the board and boiler..

OK you need a single channel hive you will see a red link on the pcb between terminals 3&4, you need to connect these to 1&3 on the hive , run an L&N to the hive and that is it , remove the plug from the VRT and you are good to go, do not make any links that you may see in other posts
 
Vrt plug is the front panel wth the grey button and green light. Iirc this can be left in situ, but will justboight up red. You can purchase a blanking plate for it. Removal of your boiler casing on this model requires safety checks afterwards, to ensure the flue isn’t compromised.

Sort of, there’s a small slot on the top, a slotted screwdriver will fit, however do not leave it exposed as there’s pins behind which supply voltage.
