Better off changing the whole diverter valve. Instructions on how to do the (not very easy) job are in the manual. Probably on the Vaillant website if you dont have them.

Drain boiler remove pump 3 screws ,take plate off grub screw in middle can be a pain, undo all connections to divertor bottom right can be tight and may need undoing further back along pipe.Unplug electrical connector to divertor... Take out and split use new screw on re assembly , when refitting pump clean Orings and smear with silicone grease.

Divertor approx 100 quid diaphragm kit a fiver only ever had one valve diaphragm didn`t fix

thank you very much the heating works fine but the hot water keeps going cold when the shower runs i have been told to fit a diapham does this sound right to you

When the diaphragm starts to wear it sometimes only affects certain taps or appliances first before going completly and affecting all..

Shower maybe the thermostatic cartridge playing up if it has one
