Hi back again!

Our Valiant combi boiler has started to make quite a high pitched noise when running??

Any help much appreciated?

Cheers

Marie

Not wishing to be pedantic, but note how Tony's spelled it... Years ago, I spent ages trying to find the instructions for my brother's boiler onlione but got nowhere, until some kind person pointed out that I was spelling it wrongly

I think that I have spelled Vaillant correctly ! ( For those who thought that Chris was suggesting it was wrong. )

But its normal for firms with difficult names to have multiple websites to cater for those who spell it other ways.

Amusingly there is a firm in Oxford called Valiant Heating and Plumbing !

So do I! Sorry if I didn't make myself clear. Interesting point about the local company.

You're right. Typing "Valliant boiler" and "Valiant boiler" into Google brings up their website without problems. It didn't a few years ago. I'll leave everyone in peace now

So sorry for spelling it wrong!!???

The model is Turbo max 824.

It is quite a high potched whing noise, I have turned the pump to no 1 setting but makes no difference as it was on no2

Just wondered if any one has any ideas as to what the cause could be for the high pitched whining sound from my Valliant 824 combi boiler???

IF it is the turbomax with a cream plastic panel, check there is water in the boiler despite what the gauge says as they get blocked with crud quite easily. Other than that i would guess at the fan. The later will need a RGI as the ccause of the fault may not be bearings and will be caused by a second fault not for a DIYer to do.

If is teh one with a black front it will be the fan - again a RGI needed.
