I Have just had my HW Valve actuator micro-switch fail, causing pump and boiler to run constantly. With an S plan, (2 x 2 port valves), both closed, what "should" happen in this situation?
In my case the heated water from boiler forced through closed CH valve, heating the house.
Is this likely to have damaged the CH valve? Or even the Pump?

Secondly, I have replaced the Valve Actuator head and wondered if there was any reason why i should not wire the permanent live grey wire, to the switch live "call" from the cylinder stat, preventing the constant running problem?

Sorry for so many questions in one hit!

The water should have gone through the bypass valve that should be fitted to an s plan.
Wire as per s plan wiring diagram.
