Where can I buy Vermiculite board as I want to line my fireplace with it rather than lining with firebrick. I plan to put in a firebasket with a gap of a couple of inches between the fireplace walls and the fire.

Would most builders merchants stock it or is it a specialist product sourced from a specialst supplier?
 
The best place to look first is a local seller of stoves/fires.
if they don't stock them they should be able to tell where they do.
