Video door entry

Hi all..

Im looking to install a video door entry with lock release, its around 30m from my house to the front gate where I want the outdoor camera/door release..

Im going to run some 2.5mm armoured cable for power, what other cable do I need to run? Just cat 5e?

Also, anyone know any competitive prices for such systems?

You will need to check the manufacturer's instructions as some systems use CW1308 telephone cable, some use Cat5 data cable, some use coax, and some a combination.

As OwainDIYer says, but you could do worse than run a duct grade cat 5 in some blue water pipe. If you need coax, and there's space in the box, you can always use baluns. The BPT HA200 uses cat 5...
