Hi there,

Why is the Vitodens 200 better than the Vitodens 100?

Someone is asking me.


AIUI the earlier Vitodens 100's had a few issues but the newer ones are much better.

More rugged construction and some additional features.

Vitodens 200 and 300 is what the Germans get. Vitodens 100 is just for us, because it is smaller and cheaper. Read into that what you will.

the 100w is for europe. the old 100 (dover) boiler was just for the uk market.difference between the 100 and 200 is the interface the 200 has a lambda sensor that can automatically detect the fule given. e.g no need for lpg conversion.also the weather comp and additional controls are more sophisticated, as to been given more options.but generally the new 100w is just a baby version and a very good boiler.

The 100 series was sold in the UK and Netherlands. The Germans are not offered it.
