Anyone had any bother with these?

Boiler goes to lockout and the customer has to reset, usually in morning.

I think it could be the CH Thermistor but just thought i'd ask here before I head to it tomorrow night.

IIRC it could be thermistor, gas valve or PCB?

Anyone encountered this problem?

Cheers

on ch/hw or both.the boiler doesnt know what time of day it is so it must be a persistent fault.

themistors are easily checked, just plug in dry.ive also had ignition board on these play up.

also check the venturi`s are clear if you are gas safe registered blah blah

Its after the heating's been on all night.

Will check the thermistor and venturi tomorrow and yea I'm Gas Safe registered, handy wee forum this, just waiting on the combustion chamber access, is this forum on the go yet mate as would have posted there if had access :)

Cheers

second bingobongo on this one,

def remove and boil clean venturis, dry, and clean with pipe cleaner

thermistors also common fault (originals dont seem to last past a couple of years  )

had exact same problem with one of these boilers last week. I tried the venturi first which didnt solve problem , then changed CH thermistor and that cured it.

Venturi was quite tricky to remove because access to the boiler was restricted.

check the low burner pressure. cant remember the amount of these ive seen with very low low burner pressure after half the boiler has been changed.
