A fault has developed with my combi-boiler, Vokera 28 (flashing "4", which I take to mean lak of water pressure). I have followed the instructions in the User manual about repressurising the system (gauge reads 0), but nothing is happening (can't hear it refilling). Unless I've missed something out, I guess a call to an engineer is in order; the installers manual indicates a "4" might mean a PCB change.
Before I call them out, anyone know what a worse case scenario (short of a new boiler) is likely to cost? I also won't be too happy if calling them out results in the engineer turning a tap, and relieving me of £192 (I may have missed something obvious on the presssurisation routine); there is a valve which I turn to fill, I see this is connected to a flexi-hose, which in turn runs to a water supply stop cock; this is "open". I presume I just turn the filling valve to the filling position, an away it should go. And if it doesn't, more repair is needed (where BG, Plumber comes in). Is there something I am missing?
