Hi,

I have a Vokera Mynute 14SE, I am a little confused as it seems to be loosing pressure but is not leaking from the PRV and there are no leaks in the system.

I had tried to recharging the expansion vessel as advised but I do not appear to be able to blow any air into this using a pump.

Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be initially. I have a service booked next week so hopefully it can be resolved then.

To recharge and EV you must first depressurise the system water. See FAQ's ree EV charging.

Would a boiler service include sorting this or am I going to have to pay extra.

I drained quite a bit of water off at the drain cock, however it still wont let me pump any air in. It does seem like there might be quite a lot of water in the vessel but their is no water coming out when I press the centre pin.

A good engineer would include repressurising the EXV.

Unfortunately many dont bother and I would say that nearly half dont even know how to do it properly!

Only a few would charge extra but that depends to an extent on how much you are paying for the service!

Have you fitted a bag/bottle over the PRV vent pipe?

Tony

Hi,

Thanks for your replies. Yes I did try putting a bottle over the end and it seemed to be as dry as a bone which is the confusing part.
