Now that my wife insists the heating is switched on, the pressure drops every day after each heating demand & I need to repressurise it to get it to start. It's been working fine heating only the pressurised hot water cylinder (which has a 12 litre expansion tank bolted on the pipe work beside it.) Now that the heating is also switched on, the pressure gauge rises above 3bar & once cooled down, drops to virtually zero.
Any immediate thoughts as to the problem? The internal expansion tank would appear to have no air in it, is that important if there is an external one fitted?
