I HAVE A 12Y.O. VOKERA EXCELL IN MY HOUSE.
Recently serviced, seemed to work fine at that point. Recently it keeps cutting out and two warning lights start flashing in rapid succession - 'flue blocked' and 'pressure/system blockage'. After half an hour it rights itself and works again for a while.

Pressure dropped so topped up mains CW feed to 1.5bar.

Also, and sorry for my ignorance, have not bled air out of system. I am used to rads with a little square key which immediately exhausts air if there is any. All I can find is a drain by the lowest rad. All rads have a TRV and nothing else. There's no valve I can see at the top of the system or in the loft.

Think I am going to be told boiler is dead - how much will it cost to replace? Have been given ballpark of £1200.

Apologies guys, I am a total layman here!

Thanks for your help.

If you have flue problem displayed you should contact an engineer ASAP!

It can't be dead if it still works. The blocked flue might just be some accumulation of debris in the flue venturi. If you get a Vokera savvy engineer, boiler can be maintained until they stop making the parts. Normally 12 years is past limit, but these models were built to last.

PS. Not sure what you'll get done for £1200.
