Im sure its called a Volken, went wrong a couple of days ago and still waiting for landlord to sort out, is there anthing I can do in the mean time to get some hot water.

It started over the weekend, came home and red reset light was on, reset and was fine, next morning same thing happened but hot water would only work if central heating was on (gas still ignioting but no hot water)

Now the boiler ignites on both CH and water but no heat to either is delivered.

I have checked the pressure and it was down below 1, so have raised this 1.5 but no joy, boiler lights sounds fine but nothing. Any ideas guys ?

You can call a competent boiler engineer to repair the boiler and pay him yourself and deduct the cost from the rent that I hope you pay!

Of course you have to give the Landlord an adequate time to arrange for his engineer to attend. In colder weather I would say thats about 24 hours from the time the fault was reported but shifted forward to the start of normal working hours if you reported it after 4 pm in the afternoon.
