I have a 2001 51 plate VW Passat saloon TDI sport 130 bhp, 6 speed gearbox.
It is having a funny idle problem. It randomly every now and then adjust the idle so it idles at 1000rpm, sometimes goes just over 1000rpm. I would say after 1 minuate it then goes back down to its correct idle.
Its almost like it thinks its cold and then idles higher for a little while. It only happens every now and then but in the last two days it has done it twice
Can someone give me an idea as to what might be wrong with it?
It has 97k milles on it but has full main dealer history.
