I would like to ask your advice on worcester 28 cdi diverter valve please. I was at one today and found taking it ok,but trying to get the new one to not leak ( ok a bit of water was my tears) was . ........... ....... . Is there something i dont know about these , and im missing something ?. eg (2 clips that you slide off and the whole things comes off and you put new one in and slide clips back and all done in 2 mins) i wish.

Plenty of silicon grease Bob, renew `O` rings and fibre washers.

Could count on one hand the ones that did not leak first refit, would have to take boots and socks off and those of the customer to count the ones that did

no quick answer here sorry.
but pay a LOTof attention to the hot water outlet tube you know its the one with no clamp or clip, relies on the SOFT copper tube being correctly inserted.
it needs to be square with the female adpator on plate heat exch.
change all o rings and washers.
IMPORTANT clean any previous water leak corrosion/o ring grease etc from the internal female heat exch tube.
use good grease.regin works best for me.
when ready to fit new valve back in,have everything ready and insert the hot water outlet tube into plate heat exch FIRST,make sure it slides in smoothly.
NEVER bend or push back the hot water outlet tube, that gurantees a leak.
the rest is in reverse.

can see your point but a more meatier o ring is difficiult to insert into plate heat exchanger and can distort the soft tube if forced and then a leak occors.

Thank you lads. Tax exile, you have just hit the nail on the head, that little b....... gave me suicidal thoughts. I had everything going ok but could i get it in,"NO" .I dont know weather i should say this but i cut a couple of mil of it and it went in after a while ,but i will take another job on now,i was going to say no way.

Totally agree, the hot water outlet pipe is a little dodgy, I've actually just replaced a 24CDi dv valve, got home about an hour ago, took hour and a half plus half hour test time and cuppa. Don't think that was to bad for first 24CDI dv.

No major problems just a case of paying attention to all o rings and washers. still wouldn't want to do to many though.
