I am fitting a conservatory roof suport UPVC beam to the back wall of the house and, when I bolted it up I sealed the back of the beam and the wall, with a suitable mastic. I will also need to fit some form of flashing when the roof panels are in place. Are there any other, more modern types of flashing system, other than the conventional lead type ? The roof panels are triple wall polycarbonate and I seem to remember seeing some comments about a plastic type of flashing, used in conjuntion with a bead of mastic. Could anyone advise please. Any comments much appreciated.
