Wall hanging on block wall

I'd like to put a wall hung sink on a block wall, but I've been getting conflicting opinions on the feasiblity. One person has advised me to use Fischer bolts and "chemical fix", but what is "chemical fix" exactly?

Screwfix do it, have a butchers. The idea is obviously that it gets itself into the pores of the wall, and your bolt. Only as strong as the wall of course.

I'd just use large sanitary/fischer fixings, and silicone the basin to the wall as well. Some folk would only use the silicone.
