In my spare bedroom I have the light switch and 3 wall receptacles. one of the wall receptacles will only work if the light switch is off. The other 2 wall receptacles work perfectly whether the light is on or off. Help!

I'm not sure of your use of the word "receptacle"
Where we come from a "receptacle" is something which receives something else.
But that is by the by.
It sounds like two of your wall lights are completely independent of the wall switch. I assume they have their own switch attached to the wall light.
The one causing problems may be on a two-way switch, meaning it can be turned on or off from either switch.
Try it.

Receptacles is what they call sockets.
The one that doesn't work is wired into the wrong terminal at the back of the switch.
Probably using the abomination of a wire nut.
