wallpaper waste

is there anyway to lessen the ammount of waste im getting when wallpapering, when i match the pattern there is quite alot of waste even if i alternate rolls i am papering down to a dado which is a drop of 142cm the pattern match is at 64cm
help please

The type of paper of which you refer is often called drop match and can indeed appear to be very wasetful. You can lessen this by working from alternate rolls rather than just one at a time.

Sorry I have just realised that you have already tried useing alternate rolls. There is'nt really another way, it's just the paper of which you choose.
