I have Hoover washing machine and have issue. When I load machine with clothes and start normal cycle (wash & spin dry), machine fill water and starts overflowing on floors. Water level setting is half way. How to ge the machine to stop overflowing and move to next step of washing?

worth checking if the pipe to the pressure switch is blocked.
With lid off the pressure switch is usually on the rhs wall at the top.
About the size of a matchbox either round or oblong and will have a small
rubber pipe running from the bottom to the drum.
disconnect and blow through to clear.
Could also be faulty switch itself,inlet valve(s) not activating properly or the main brain that controls them.
