We have a Hoover AL120 washing machine, which is about 6 years old. Recently it has been stopping mid cycle, at random moments just sort of going to sleep. If we turn the switch off at the socket and then turn it back on again, it seems to continue where it was and eventually the entire cycle finishes.
Is this something which may be repairable, at reasonable cost (or DIY?!) or is it time to accept the machine is past its best and just look for a new one?
