Hi,
I have a hotpoint wmd960 washing machine which seems to have developed a fault. It has power and water supply but when a wash cycle is started it shows 1hr26min left on the screen, locks the door but then does nothing. At 1hr 20min it brings up a message saying No Water, Check Supply and beeps loudly about every 15 seconds. At 1hr 16min the water enters the unit correctly and the wash completes normally.

What is it supposed to be doing in the first 10 mins? Is it a sensor fault or circuit board?
Thanks
Daidoc

Check motor brushes. Poss worn otherwise pcb on way out.

brushes look ok so I am guessing it is Circuit Board then.

Is there any way to test or reset the PCB?

also, if I replace the PCB I have heard that a hotpoint engineer must then come out and re-programme it. What is there to re-programme and is this something I can do myself?

No you can't prog it. Buy a recon one from emw. In Nottingham half the price And plug and play.
