Washing machine possessed.

My Hotpoint Washer Dryer 1000 De Luxe Model 9934 has been invaded by an evil spirit. With no warning it has started putting holes in my clothes, depositing bits of rusty metal and plastic in my washing, leaking, and making an infernal racket. Do you think it's repairable, or should I just get a new one?

bearings are going. yes it is repairable, but cost v new m/c (yours is old?)

Thanks. I think it dates from 1988, so about 17 years old. Will phone up an engineer to see what it will cost to repair, but looks like I have to get a new one. Is installation of a washing machine something you can do yourself?

17 years, dont bother, may need new cabinet too. plumbing in a w/m is very easy

1988-2009 is 21 years in my book and ive not had a wash/machine longer than 4 years before its packing up.
