Help will be much appreciated

Agreed. Apparently difficult to get at, sometimes accesible from the front seal, or behind.

Don't bother with the door lock its a classic motor fault.

The motor is a quick and easy fault to diagnose...it blows the mains usually, the OP states a door fault....explain?

On this model there has been a design fault the thermal cut out in the motor breaks down when hot then, will not complete the circuit it takes the netual supply out hence the door solenoid keeps clicking. Then it won't start and you cannot get the motor apart to replace it. This model is only 2 years old and different to your wd 62 that you had. Only had to replace 22 of these this year for the same fault. So yes it's a motor fault.

Fair response rocks. Did you see the cure for my wd62? induction capacitor shorted. All 4 ways round. ;)

Yeah yours was a mains surpresor fault at the back right, very rare fault.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but the suppressor/capacitor was on the left of the machine...but don't know if you mean back right? or back right..it is on the left. Right? Definately on the back. To the left. As viewed from the back. Sorry.
