Washing machine waste

I've just moved the washing machine in my kitchen and now the waste hose won't reach the sink outlet.Can i just by another hose and plug them both together or will they leak?Any help/advice greatly appreciated

just get a hose extension from currys or screwfix etc

I had one running 4 metres for years, but it did need an anti-siphon doobrie to cennect the two together (Wickes) to let air in.

I was in Focus the other day. They sell extensions with a non return valve already fitted.
