Waste Pipe

Hi
I'm putting a freestanding bath which has a chrome waste pipe that I have connected on to a standard 40mm plastic pipe using the compression type. trouble is it's not a great fit, although there is no water leaking i'm worried it will cause problems later. Both pipes can still turn ! Is there anything I can reinforce it with.

A bit of PTFE round your pvc pipe should help.
