I have put together the chrome bottle trap and waste pipe I have married it up to 32mm waste using a Screw thread compression fitting complete with red plastic washer and black compression washer.
The chrome feed pipe seems to be just slightly smaller in diameter than the plastic waste pipe so when the compression fitting is tightened on the thread. The washer does not grip the chrome waste pipe enough to prevent leeks.
How best can I use sealant or plumbers mate or a smaller diameter washer to squeeze the chrome waste pipe to prevent leaks.
