hi i wonder if anyone can help?
i have had a water feature for a couple of years and just recently everytime i turn it on - it works for a few seconds (about 30 secs) and then it trips the main circuit
it has worked fine for years and just started doing this -

as it works for 30 secs i think it may be a pump issue? but im not an expert on this and any help in gettig to the root of the problem could save me lots of hours in diagnostics

is this enough information or is more required?
any help greatly appreciated

Is it tripping an MCB (miniature circuit breaker) or
an RCD (residual current device) which will have a Test button.

My guess is that there is a leak in the water feature. Maybe it got frozen in the winter and that caused a crack in the pump, or somewhere water and electricity come together.

You turn on the pump and a thin stream of water seeps through the crack, after 30 seconds it gets the electrical connections wet and the breaker trips.

Seen it quite a lot. Fixable by installing new pump (or whatever).
