Water Flow pressure from the meter

Hi

So we have repalced the pipe from the house to the meter on the pavement with new blue poly. However connected to stop cock with guage and it shows 2 Bar but when you open 1 tap the pressure drops to 0 Bar. Went back to the meter and connected a pipe up to the meter and the flow is rubbish see video. Spoken to all the neighbours(10+) and they also said exactly the same for them.

Question is why is it so bad and what can be done from the supplier South East Water??

Poor water flow pressure

The water companies have an obligation to supply only a minimum pressure and flow. It varies a bit from board to board, but is generally around 10 litres per minute at about 0.9 bar. Check with SE Water to see what there is obligation is, then measure the pressure and flow rate from the open pipe to see if it conforms. If it doesn't you can probably (eventually?) make them improve it, but even 10 lpm and 0.9 bar is pretty useless. If it conforms, or if they make it conform, but it still doesn't suit your requirements, it will be up to you to install whatever measures you need, such as accumulators, pumps from break tanks etc.
The poor pressure / flow minima are one of the reasons so many UK houses use stored water.

Does anyone have any tips to getting Local Water Authority to improve the flow pressure?
As part of the renovations we have fitted a pressurised system, if we did have to have another measure what is the best option?

Is there any work being carried out in the area? I’d check that 1st since it’s at all other properties. Go online to southeast water and check.
