Water from boiler expansion pipe when C.H. switches on/off??

Should there be a small spurt of water from the expansion pipe into the expansion tank when my Baxi Bermuda 401 switches on or off?
If this should not happen what might be the problem?

Perhaps too much writing, so I have edited it right down.

It could be a partial blockage of the cold feed from the expansion tank.

Either ways probably need to get a Plumber in. HTH
