I have got a water hammer problem at home recently. I don't know where is this water hammer, because I haven't done anything with my home plumbing system.
Now I don't know where should "water hammer arrester" be pleaced ?
Annoying noise !
Can anyone give me an answer? Thanks

Water hammer is caused by resonance in the pipework. Sometimes you can see the pipe vibrating. Take a look near to the cold feed to the header tank. Some times small movements in the tank side set up vibration in the pipework and tank. You will need to secur the piework with clips to someting solid, like a wall or beam.
