Could my Glow Worm Fuelsaver MK ii (Its about 18 yrs old)be causing water hammer,every morning when the timer cuts in we are woken by hammering pipes and sometimes during the day it will start again. Not using the boiler but using the electric heater seems to resolve the problem. If it is the boiler is there a cure.
