Hi guys,

Got a big problem, house being run by a combi boiler, turned off cold water mains at stop cock to install new sink and taps to kitchen (no isolation valve, are now!!!)

However, when turning on mains water again and checking for no leaks etc started to hear dripping water  Found to be coming out of the bottom of boiler  is this a coincidence that a proble has occured with the boiler on switching the water back on?

Know nothing about boilers and do not want to!

Seems like a washer or similar has gone with the reducing pressure and turning back on again of water.

Boiler was turned off during the whole process, and when I turned the water back on, I did it very slowly untill water stopped filling the pipes, then turned onto previous amount of turns!

Pressure in boiler has not dropped, which also seems odd.

Look forward to your help as water and boiler is currently turned off.

Many thanks

we really need more info,ie make of boiler and where water is actually dripping from,a photo would help.
water can suddenly leak from a boiler due to the fact the boiler has been turned off and has cooled down.
