Hi Guys,

Bungalow, being run from combi-boiler, noise in night like a toilet filling up and the clunk when the valve shuts off under pressure, noise lasts for about 5 seconds each time.

Neighbours have been ruled out of the equation!

All appliances in the house including the boiler are not running when the noise occurs. When it happens the meter which is in the house can be seen running.

Water board have also checked that all other houses in street are on there own meter. They want nothing more to do with it.

This is not a new problem, been happening for some years, but starting to drive the owners mad!

Any ideas or thoughts as to what this could be?

Cheers

Presumably no ion exchange water softener?

They should be asked to unplug all washing machines and dishwashers overnight.
