I've been running ducting for a water pipe and electrical cable. I've noticed that water supply pipes should be 350mm away from other services. I'm wondering whether anybody knows why?
My ducting are being run side by side going into the foundation. If they weren't side by side then I would need to re-route one of the ducts. The pipe is MDPE and the ducts are plastic, so I can't see how there could be a problem. Does anybody know whether this would be ok? btw, it's also not the main water supply pipe, it's carrying rainwater, so the usually regulations may not apply.
