hi there,

Some advice, sense check please,

I have checked my water pressure with a meter and it is 3-3.5 with no other taps open.

My plumber who is about to start a load of work has said I do not have good enough pressure. He tested it with another tap open and it was no surprise 1.5.

As we have quite a few showers in with probably three at most being used at one time. I am expecting to need an accumulator I think? He says I need two as water pressure is low.

From what I have read I am not sure that is right? They will help with flow and will I really need two, and do I have a pressure issue?

This will be a HP system.

Thanks

3 bar is 30metres or 100feet of head Just how much pressure do you want ?

If the water pressure drops drastically when a tap is in use then your supply is restricted either by a partially closed feed valve, a blockage in the supply line or a supply line that is far too small

With respect to your plumber, if he is aware that you have 3+bar of static pressure which falls away when in use then he doesn't know the difference between pressure and flow.

Find the cause of the problem rather than installing "get-around' devices.
