Hi all,

Just by chance I decided to have a look in the feed & expansion tank this morning & noticed the water was scaled...

...about 6 months ago I ran X400 sludge remover through the system & it currently has X200 noise reducer & about half a bottle of X100 inhibitor in. With it being summer the central heating has not been on for months.

Does anyone have any advice? Should I just flush the system?

Thanks in advance.

PS. The ball cock is taped up as I was about the drain the system but thought I'd ask for some advice first.

The tape fell on to the surface of the water as I was trying to fix it to the metal arm.

Shall I just drain/re-fill the system & add some more inhibitor?

If it were mine I'd just bale out whatever it is. Scale doesn't usually do that! No point draining the system. COuld it be bacteria?
Put some decent inhibitor in and monitor it.
