Water softener, minimum flow rate

Hello, I’m considering buying a water softener

I have seen a BTW on wickes website which costs 550£; also available at ScrewFix for 540£

I saw a note in the manual saying that at flow rates less than 10 l/min the hardness might not be effectively removed

I don’t think I’ll be using more than 10l/min when having a shower, washing my hands or refilling the toilet cistern.

What does this mean?
