I have been working on a Cedar framed conservatory.
It is 20 years old.
There are two large sash windows which are top hinged.
When the windows are closed and it rains there is a small pool of water on the cill at each end of each sash, which sits there and so will rot the wood over time.
I assume the water is driven into the gap between the sash and the conservatory frame to then run down the gap and pool at the bottom.
Because the windows are kept closed I want to prevent this pooling of water.
I had the idea of using a 2" wide plastic strip to nail or fix to the sash so it covers the gap. The strips I have seen on the web are adhesive, but I want plain one I can nail or screw on.
Any ideas please.
