Weird shower issue - no water!

Just close your mains cold water stopcock ,and see if bathroom cold taps are still running ,if they do they are tank fed. Turn the electric shower to cold only,no heating elements on ,and see if that runs too.
 
Just generally fault finding, it's quite easy to test the solenoid coil resistance without even taking off the shower cover, switch out (down) the shower RCBO/RCD, ensure pull cord switched on and press the shower start button then check the resistance between the (RCBO) load side L&N, a healthy coil should give 3K to 4K ohm resistance, my Triton T80Z shows 3.6K (3,600) ohms. Dont forget to press the shower start button again and switch off the pull cord before switching the RCBO/RCD back in.
